Becky Hobbs 8/29/15 7:00PM $115



Becky Hobbs was born and raised in Bartlesville, OK. She started the first documented all-girl rock band in the state of OK at age 15. Her songs have been recorded by Alabama, Conway Twitty, Wanda Jackson, George Jones, Loretta Lynn, Glen Campbell, Emmylou Harris, The Cherokee National Youth Choir, Moe Bandy, Helen Reddy, Shirley Bassey, Ken Mellons, Lacy J. Dalton, Janie Fricke, Jane Oliver and many more. Her co-written "You Are" (Recorded by Glen Campbell & Emmylou Harris) was nominated for a Grammy in the Country Vocal Duet category in 1988. She co-wrote the evergreen ANGELS AMONG US (recorded by Alabama) and has had over 30 chart singles/albums as a recording artist,including JONES ON THE JUKEBOX and Top Ten duet LET'S GET OVER THEM TOGETHER with Moe Bandy. Becky has co-written a musical, NANYEHI-BELOVED WOMAN OF THE CHEROKEE, based on the life of her 5th-great grandmother, Nancy Ward. The Beckaroo has performed in over 40 countries and lives in Nashville, TN with her husband, guitarist/producer, Duane Sciacqua (played with Paul McCartney, Glenn Frey). She is a citizen of the Cherokee Nation.
