Little River Band was formed in Melbourne, Australia in 1975. It was originally a blend of musicians who had enjoyed success in otherAustralian rock acts. Their new focus was to get airplay on American radio, and they achieved that goal with good songwriting, powerful vocals, and guitar harmonies. They immediately claimed their place as one of the great vocal bands of the ‘70s…and the ‘80s.Between 1976 and 1983, chart success in America includes the following singles: It’s a Long Way There, Help Is on Its Way, Happy Anniversary, Reminiscing, Lady, Cool Change, Lonesome Loser, The Night Owls, Take It Easy On Me, Man On Your Mind, We Two, and The Other Guy.

 Little River Band is considered to be one of Australia’s most significant bands. Worldwide album and CD sales now top 30 million. They also set a record for having Top 10 hits for 6 consecutive years…the first band to achieve that mark. And according to BMI, Reminiscing has garnered rare status with over 5 million airplays on America radio…and Lady is close behind with over 4 million airplays. LRB was rightfully inducted into the Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA) Hall of Fame at the 18th Annual ARIA Music Awards of 2004.The current lineup brings new energy and arrangements to the classic hits, making new memories for the audience out of each live performance. After many years of performing throughout the world, Mark and Clark were asked to perform In Las Vegas, Nevada, performing in Las Vegas' most famous Hotel, Casinos.
They had worked many years for Joel Fishman in Atlantic City with Donald Trump at The Harrah's at Trump Plaza. Joel invited Mark and Clark to perform at a new Hotel Casino Called Excalibur in Las Vegas. They decided to move out there to open a new showroom, but were called back to Atlantic City by Dennis Gomes, the CEO of Tropicana Hotel and Casinos In both Atlantic City and Las Vegas. After a 2 month contract in A.C.

They were asked to stay on for another two years at the Tiffany Showroom. Which, was one of Atlantic City's Premiere show clubs. They were hailed as one of the best acts in that city, with accolades, and sold thousands of CD's of their music to their audiences. .

After their contract was up, they were invited by Richard Sterm, the head of entertainment Of the Mirage properties in Las Vegas, to perform shows at the entire Mirage facilities, such as MGM Grand; New York, New York; Bellagio, and Monte Carlo, as well as other famous casino resorts in the Las Vegas vicinity. Paris, Venetian, Caesar’s Palace, Imperial Palace, Desert Inn, The Stratosphere, They also performed on many national convention projects there as well.

In 2004, Mark and Clark opened their own Las Vegas Showroom, at the Tuscany Hotel and Casino. They shared the showroom with Legendary: Gallagher, (Watermelon, Sledgematic Man) After a successful run, they were asked to come back to Florida, where their new success began.

International travel was important to them, however, you can fly anywhere in the world from Orlando, Florida, as well as Las Vegas.

In 2007, when they moved back was the beginning of a new era for “The Mark & Clark Show”. They have been performing for the most exclusive country clubs, yacht clubs, and senior citizen communities, and manufactured home parks, the past two years. Their reputation in these communities have become so successful, that they have decided to branch out to other areas, throughout the US, at the same type of communities. 

They are working presently to procure engagements in the Carolina's for the summer seasons. They have also presented shows in the Arizona areas for the same type of communities, with a tremendous reception. They will appear there in the near future again.

This is the new Mark and Clark, and they have found a new niche, with these wonderful people, who continue to admire them, and respond with 3 and 4 standing ovations at every performance.

They were contacted by the CBS organization in the Netherlands, to film a special TV show there for New Year's Eve 2008. The reason being, that they were still in the top 100 of the charts over there, with their hit CBS song: “The Worn Down Piano”, from their hit CBS album in the 70's: “DoubleTake”.

This is the real deal. Featuring legitimate long time members of The Band, Jim Weider and Randy Ciarlante, along with Marty Grebb (Bonnie Raitt, The Fabulous Rhinestones) Byron Isaacs and Brian Mitchell (Levon Helm Band), The Weight revisits the radio hits and deep tracks from one of America’s most loved and revered musical institutions.  With three of the five original members of The Band now gone, who better than the iconic group’s “second generation” to keep the unique roots-rock sound alive? Jim Weider, who replaced Robbie Robertson on lead guitar in 1985, and Randy Ciarlante, who joined The Band as second drummer to Levon Helm in 1991, are keeping the tradition of one of America’s most beloved musical institutions alive.  Inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame in 1989 and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1994, additional accolades for The Band include their position at No. 50 on Rolling Stone’s list of the 100 Greatest Artists of All Time in 2004.  Musically, The Band was lauded for its fusion of many different genres, including most notably old country music and early rock and roll, although their sound was often reminiscent of Motown-style rhythm and blues.
 
Info on the individual members:
Jim Weider was a member of the legendary group from 1985 to the end. He not only replaced Robbie Robertson as their lead guitarist, but wrote songs, performed on their three studio albums (Jericho, High on the Hog, Jubilation) and toured internationally with them for fifteen years. As a result he was prominently featured on those records and in their numerous films, videos and television appearances. Jim was also a member of Levon Helm’s Midnight Ramble Band and continues to front his own personal group, ProJECT Percolator.
 
Randy Ciarlante was a member of the second incarnation of The Band. Up until Levon Helm’s passing he also double-drummed with Levon in his Midnight Ramble Band. He played drums alongside Levon and sang on The Band’s albums, circa 1990s, including Jericho, High On The Hog and Jubilation. Randy also leads his own amazing band, “CKS“.
 
Brian Mitchell was also a member of Levon Helm’s Midnight Ramble Band and is well-known within the circles of the music industry for his solo career and high-profile collaborations. He has recorded and performed with some of music’s most respected artists. (Bob Dylan, Al Green, B.B. King and countless others).
 
Byron Isaacs: Also a member of Levon Helm’s Midnight Ramble Band, The Dirt Farmer Band and Amy Helm’s band, Ollabelle, Byron is a well-respected singer-songwriter and has written songs that appear on Levon’s Grammy-winning CDs, Dirt Farmer and Electric Dirt.
 
Marty Grebb is a former member of the Fabulous Rhinestones and also played with the Rick Danko Band, Eric Clapton, Leon Russell, Bonnie Raitt, Etta James, Gregg Allman and Bonnie Bramlett. Marty also wrote songs for The Band and appearing on the Jericho CD.

Before there was Americana, before there was Texas Country, Two Tons of Steel front man Kevin Geil and his original band, “Dead Crickets,” rocked a sound that blended the best of musical worlds and pushed the envelope of “Texas” sound with a signature brand of high-energy country meets raw punk.

The San Antonio-based group packed the small bars and local hangouts and quickly became the Alamo City’s most-loved band, earning them a spot on the cover of Billboard Magazine in 1996. It was the beginning of a twenty year journey for Geil and the 4-piece ensemble.

Releasing “Two Tons Of Steel” in 1994 and “Crazy For My Baby” in 1995 on Blue Fire Records, a sponsorship deal with Lone Star Beer quickly followed. Dead Crickets, renamed Two Tons of Steel in 1996 began traveling outside of Texas, including stops at the Grand Ole’ Opry in Nashville, Tenn., the National Theater in Havana, Cuba, and European tours, to greet fans who had embraced their Texas-born sound. In 1996 they released “Oh No!” on their independent label, “Big Bellied Records.” They followed up the passion project with a live recording at the legendary Gruene Hall in Gruene, Texas, taped during a Two Ton Tuesday Show 1998.

In 2013, the band marks 18 years of “Two Ton Tuesday Live from Gruene Hall.” The summer-long event drew 13,000 fans in 2012 and more than 150,000 fans since it began its annual run in 1995.

The popular concert series was captured in “Two Ton Tuesday Live,” a DVD-CD combo released on Palo Duro Records in 2006. Also that year, the band’s first national release, “Vegas,” produced by Grammy Award-winning producer Lloyd Maines on the Palo Duro label, took them to No. 7 on the Americana Music Charts and was one of the top 20 releases of 2006. Two Tons released “Not That Lucky” in 2009. The album peaked at No. 4 on the Americana Music Charts and has made Two Tons of Steel a band to watch in 2013.

Along the way, the band has collected a number of awards. To date, Two Tons has cleaned up at home, winning "Band of the Year" on 12 separate occasions and "Album of the Year" for its self-titled debut. Two Tons has also been named "Best Country Band" by the San Antonio Current ten times. Geil also has nabbed 'Best Male Vocal' honors four times.

Two Tons of Steel’s  reach extends beyond their live gigs. In 2003, the band was filmed during a “Two Ton Tuesday” gig for the IMAX film, "Texas: The Big Picture," which can be seen daily at the IMAX Theatre in the Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum in Austin and has been seen as far away as Japan.  The band also has been featured as supporting characters in award-winning author Karen Kendall's romance novel, "First Date."

Two Tons Of Steel, Kevin Geil, Jake “Sidecar” Marchese on Upright Bass, Brian Duarte on Lead Guitar and Paul Ward on Drums continues to push the line between country and punk with its next project “Unraveled” produced by Lloyd Maines, due out July 2, 2013.

Becky Hobbs was born and raised in Bartlesville, OK. She started the first documented all-girl rock band in the state of OK at age 15. Her songs have been recorded by Alabama, Conway Twitty, Wanda Jackson, George Jones, Loretta Lynn, Glen Campbell, Emmylou Harris, The Cherokee National Youth Choir, Moe Bandy, Helen Reddy, Shirley Bassey, Ken Mellons, Lacy J. Dalton, Janie Fricke, Jane Oliver and many more. Her co-written "You Are" (Recorded by Glen Campbell & Emmylou Harris) was nominated for a Grammy in the Country Vocal Duet category in 1988. She co-wrote the evergreen ANGELS AMONG US (recorded by Alabama) and has had over 30 chart singles/albums as a recording artist,including JONES ON THE JUKEBOX and Top Ten duet LET'S GET OVER THEM TOGETHER with Moe Bandy. Becky has co-written a musical, NANYEHI-BELOVED WOMAN OF THE CHEROKEE, based on the life of her 5th-great grandmother, Nancy Ward. The Beckaroo has performed in over 40 countries and lives in Nashville, TN with her husband, guitarist/producer, Duane Sciacqua (played with Paul McCartney, Glenn Frey). She is a citizen of the Cherokee Nation.

Tamala Georgette Jones was born to the only Hall of Fame husband and wife country artists, George Jones and Tammy Wynette. She's been singing with one or both parents since the age of three. She recorded her first single with her Dad, "Daddy Come Home" when she was ten years old and performed it on an HBO special.

Georgette also worked as a backup singer for her Mom. Georgette recorded a duet with Mark McGuinn that was included on his "One Man's Crazy" CD and has appeared on TV shows such as Crook and Chase, RFD-TV and The Grand Ole Opry. Georgette is a songwriter and member of SESAC and the CMA.

Georgette tours Ireland twice a year, where she has developed a very loyal fan base. She also tours Europe and Asia

A duet entitled "You and me and Time", which Georgette co-wrote for her Dad, was released as the first single from her Dad's latest CD,
"Burn Your Playhouse Down".

Georgette has filmed a TV series entitled "Sordid Lives" starring along side Emmy award winner Leslie Jordan (Will and Grace) and many other big stars such as, Olivia Newton-John, Bonnie Bedelia (Die Hard), Margaret Cho and others. Georgette re-recorded three of her Mom's songs included with five songs from Olivia Newton - John in the soundtrack.

More recently Georgette has recorded 2 cd's with Heart of Texas Records.
